Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your business data, invoices, customers, products, and account information will be permanently deleted from our systems.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove:
- Your Account: Login credentials and authentication data
- Business Information: Business name, contact details, and settings
- Financial Data: All invoices, sales records, and payment information
- Customer Data: Customer contact information and transaction history
- Product Data: All items, categories, and product images
- Images: Business logos and product photos stored in our system
Account deletion through the app is immediate and permanent. All data is deleted instantly when you confirm the action.
How to Delete Your Account
In-App Deletion (Only Method Available)
Account deletion is only available through the PaySplit mobile app for security reasons:
- Open the PaySplit app on your device
- Navigate to the Settings screen
- Scroll to the bottom and tap the red "Delete Account" button
- Wait for the 5-second safety countdown in the confirmation dialog
- Tap "Delete Forever" to confirm
- Your account and all data will be permanently deleted immediately
For security reasons, account deletion is only available through the mobile app where you are already authenticated. We do not process deletion requests via email or web forms.

Technical Details
Our account deletion process uses secure server-side Cloud Functions that:
- Delete all images from Cloudflare R2 storage under your account prefix
- Remove all Firestore data including items, categories, customers, and invoices subcollections
- Delete the main business document containing your settings and information
- Remove your Firebase Auth account permanently from our authentication system
- Process deletions in batches using Firestore's batch operations for efficiency
- Handle errors gracefully with comprehensive logging to prevent any data from being left behind
